After a long night of Trick-or-Treating, you can’t wait to get home and dig through your heavy haul of candy! You dump it out and begin to sift through, only to realize that you can’t eat half of it…
If you’ve got food allergies or dietary restrictions, you know how sad Halloween can be. From peanut-laden chocolates to gluten-riddled gummies, if you don’t have a friend or sibling to trade with, all that candy is just lost to you.
So in the spirit of Halloween empathy, we want to help you get the candy YOU love and can feel good about giving out this year!
For our list, we’ve chosen five candies, one for each category of candy contention. Not all of these are allergies, obviously, but they all restrict your right to eat every piece of your hard-earned Halloween candy!

Peanut-Free: Mars Bar
If you’ve got peanut allergies, or bought a box of fun-sized Mars candy recently, you already know all about this peanut-free delight.
Manufactured in a peanut-free facility, Mars bars have been allergy friendly for years! Delicious nougat, creamy caramel, and smooth chocolate – with no hidden surprises.

Gluten-Free: Butterfinger
Crispety, crunchety, and none of it gluteny!
The signature Butterfinger texture comes from the simple combination of hard candy and peanut butter! The warm candy is flattened on a long sheet, peanut butter is poured on top, and then the two go along a conveyor belt where they’re folded and twisted over and over and over again. Once they’re all nice and flakey, they go through a cooling tunnel and under a chocolatey curtain for their coating!

Every year there are more and more amazing vegan options on the market, but we wanted to show off a classic!
Blow Pops are great big lollipops with a chewy bubblegum centre! There are so many delicious fruity flavours to choose from, but Kiwi Berry Blast is by far my favourite.
This is a box big enough to handle all the trick-or-treaters you’ll get this year, plus enough to snack on yourself. But when word gets out that you’re the Blow Pop house, you might need a second box next year!
