The best candies in time for Halloween this season!
If you haven’t gotten around to carving your pumpkins, finalizing your costumes, or sorting out the best selection of Halloween candies, then you should put a pep in your step because the end of October is here! The end of this month also means that it's time for Candy Funhouse’s official Top 10 Candies of the Month list!
10. Mountain Dew Pitch Black (Malaysia)
When I got word that we got a supply of Mountain Dew Pitch Black, I knew I had to test it out right away! This extremely rare Mountain Dew flavour from Malaysia hasn't been available since 2013 and is still very sought after.
The flavour of this dark beverage is dark grape citrus punch, giving you a hit of sweet fruity fizz with a little tangy kick! Myself, and the other Candyologists were grateful we could taste this Mountain Dew drink since we know how hard it is to get your hands on some -- the flavour is totally worth it btw!!!
9. Walkers Pizza Hut Texas BBQ Chips
Tasting the Walkers Pizza Hut Texas BBQ Chips was a remarkable experience for my taste buds! The savoury flavour of BBQ chips with the mouth-watering blend of Pizza Hut seasoning had my taste buds on cloud 9!
The classic crunchy texture of Walkers chips, paired with the beautiful blend of this savoury seasoning mix made this a must-try and made its way to our top 10 list without question!
8. Chubby Strawberry Soda
If you went to elementary in Canada, then we're sure you're very familiar with these little chubby sodas! The Chubby Strawberry Soda is an undeniable sensation that both quenched my thirst and gave me a boost of strawberry sweetness!
If you've been looking for a go-to drink to help sweeten your palate, then the Chubby Strawberry Soda is where it's at!! You can pair it with dinner or just take a few sips when you're in need of a nice pick-me-up to add some sweetness to the day. Reminisce about the good ole days with this nostalgic drink.
7. After Eight Orange
Am I personally crazy about mint chocolate? No. I know as a Candyologist I should love all the chocolate and candies in the land but we all have our preferences, okay!!
Now with that being said, I have to say the flavour profile of mint + orange was something I've never experienced before, and kept me intrigued the whole time. My taste buds were definitely enticed by the refreshing citrusy flavours throughout the tasting.
If you consider yourself a mint chocolate lover, then you HAVE to try this chocolate because I'm sure you'll fall in love with it. It doesn't hurt that After Eight is a fabulous chocolate brand too!
6. Adam & Brooks Whirly Pop Sour Gummies
Adam & Brooks Whirly Pop is known for their iconic swirly lollipops. If you love their sweet colourful lollipops, then you'll get a kick out of their sour gummies! Adam & Brooks Whirly Pop Sour Gummies come with the same vibrant colours and sweet fruity flavours as the original lollipop.
The sour gummies include Apple, Cherry, Grape and Orange flavours that will practically disappear once you open the bag! I couldn't believe how soft and sour each gummy was! I can definitely go for another bag right now.
5. Sour Punch Pickle Roulette
Have you heard of Bean Boozeled? Well, this is Sour Punch’s take on that very concept, and let me be the first to tell you that it’ll definitely catch you off guard. With a choice between Lemon Lime, Watermelon and Green Apple, this fun game also includes Pickle in the flavour mix!
Each sour string candy looks identical to each other, so you never really know which flavour you’re getting – which adds to the fun of the roulette game! You can enjoy the Sour Punch Pickle Roulette with your friends to see which one of you gets hit with the tangy pickle candy!

I think by now we all know that October is spooky season, so it's important we all have something to keep us warm during the colder months, that of course, fit into the festivities of the season. The Hot Chocolate Mummy Bomb will give you exactly that!

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't hesitant to try this candy, I mean the name makes it a bit off-putting. But once I got past that and actually tried the candy, I couldn't help but appreciate the humour behind the name.
This silly box of candy is filled with soft and chewy gummies that taste like Lemon, Lime, and Cherry. If you're easily grossed out then we don't suggest you try it because it has a pretty squishy/sticky texture, but if that doesn't phase you, then dig in!!! (no pun intended)

Our number 1 pick for the top 10 candies of October is the newest edition to the Jelly Belly line -- Jelly Belly Boba Milk Tea! These delicious little jelly beans come in the flavours of your favourite boba teas! So if you spend your free time in line at the boba shop, you gotta try these sweet little jelly beans.
The Jelly Belly boba flavours include Mango Milk Tea, Taro Milk Tea, Matcha Milk Tea, Strawberry Milk Tea, and Thai Milk Tea. My personal fave was Mango Milk Tea because it was bursting with Mango sweetness and I pretty much love anything Mango flavoured, so it was an easy choice for me.
