These candies are definitely an acquired taste because of their strong black licorice flavour and by being bitingly salty. Even as a licorice lover myself, they took some getting used to, but now I'm hooked. Their strong flavours and firm chewy texture keep me popping these candies all day. This is definitely a "love it or hate it" candy, so you can even prank your friends by daring them to eat one. Good stuff.
