They taste exactly like a remember as a kid! Always were my favourite Life Saver!

So many things look the same but turn out to be different than they were in the past, or as you remember them. This NOT one of those . As soon as it began to dissolve in my mouth my brains pleasure center screamed YES . Now if only that could happen to the extinct Cadbury Rum and Butter chocolate bar

I lived close to the plant that made these and the smell made you want them and they were hard to get as stores would sell out fast so nice to have them again

This was a favorite treat of mine growing up, especially at Christmas. We get our lifesaver storybook and I'd go around and trade with my siblings and cousins for their butter rum rolls until I'd have a full book. Loved the flavor then and still love it today. I wish my children & grandchildren could experience the lifesaver storybook. I'd still want all the butter rum ones.

The Butter Rum life savers - was a blast from my childhood. Every Christmas my brothers and I would get a book of life savers and Butter Rum was my favorite. However, now the only life saver in a book - is assorted fruit flavors. I still get the book of life savers - just the same, to keep the tradition going for my "young men" - I have two sons.

I bought a ton of these when I found that Candy Funhouse had them in stock - they were part of everyone's Christmas gift this year and they were hugely appreciated - a taste of childhood! Great service from Candy Funhouse too. Trying to ration the remaining few rolls is a challenge - I'll definitely be back for more!

Butter rum Life Savers were my favorite and I loved the taste so much that I would get the butter rum topping as a sundae topping at a well known icecream business
All I can say is YUMMY!!!

I remember LifeSavers from childhood. My favourite flavour was Butter Rum. I liked the taste, but there was more. During WWII my mother served in the Women’s Royal Naval Service (WRNS). She was a courier who would transport secret documents in a briefcase handcuffed to her wrist, from the Offices of the War Cabinet, Whitehall, to 10 Downing Street, London. You can image how this impressed me as a kid. My mother had been a spy, like James Bond! She was a lifelong nondrinker, but once a year, typically at Christmas, she would indulge in a Rum and Coke, because, after all, rum was the plonk of sailors. Seeing her push back a glass of rum was part of her mythos, one that as a child I felt I could share when I ate Butter Rum LiveSavers. They tasted like rum; the word was in name!
