When we spoke to Iconic Candy, we met with owners, Jordan & Kim as they walked us through the process of bringing these beloved candies back on the market! Nostalgia played a major role in reviving Ouch! Bubblegum, Retro Sours and Bubble Jug Candy. Fans religiously reaching out to the brand to bring these iconic candies back also played a part in their revival.

Why the Comeback?

The passionate confectionary fans were essentially the catalyst for the relaunch of these nostalgic treats. There's nothing like revisiting the simpler times in your life when all you had to worry about was if you could chew an entire case of Ouch! Bubblegum at once!

When bringing back these confectionary staples, Kim mentioned that they used their online platform to integrate customer opinions! The name Retro Sours came from an online poll where the audience could vote on the new name of these sour candies. With a whopping 80% vote, Retro Sours took the cake!

They mentioned that they want to continue to include their consumers in fun decision making processes like product names, flavours, and even down to packaging design!
