The whole Funhouse team has travelled down to Indianapolis this week for the annual Sweets & Snacks Expo! The greatest minds in candy and snacks have come together to show off their latest and greatest creations, and we’re bringing the best of the best right to you!
After a gruelling day of trying every last piece of incredible innovation, I am proud to say that our Candyologists have compared notes, and narrowed our top new favourites into this definitive Top 10 list! Everything in the list will make it to a market near you (and CandyFunhouse.ca of course), so you’ll get to try all of these delicious sweets and snacks, you just have to wait a bit!

Nerds Juicy Gummy Clusters
Just when you thought Nerds Gummy Clusters couldn’t get any better, they go and give the big gummy ball you love an oozing gooey juicy fruity centre! Strawberry Punch is the first flavour available, and when these become the hit we know they will be, more flavours will be rushed to market!

Squashies Mixed Fruit
Squashies are the cloudy foamy chewy soft candies from the UK. They’re all over social media, and we have it on good authority that it miiiight be Taylor Swift’s favourite candy! They just unveiled their newest flavour, Squashies Mixed Fruit, and we think it is going to be HUGE! Tart cherry, tangy pineapple, and citrusy lemon-lime all jumbled together in one perfectly sharable package! We can’t wait for it to come out so you can try it too!

Kiwi Peelerz
You knew the pioneers at Peelerz were going to show up big this year, and they did not disappoint! Their new Kiwi Peelerz are a stroke of genius! Perfect tangy kiwi flavour, with crunchy chia seed inclusions! We loved them so much we even tore right into our take-home package after eating all our samples! This might be the best Peelerz candy yet! These are an ABSOLUTE MUST TRY when they come out!

Mike and Ike Ice Cream Truck
Mike and Ike are back at it again, and just in time for summer! Mike and Ike Ice Cream Truck are all your favourite ice cream flavours in the chewy little candies you love! Put ‘em all together and you get a chocolate strawberry banana split with caramel sauce and a cherry on top! The large theatre boxes and stand bags make sharing them with your friends a breeze! No spoons required!

Juicy Drop Gummy Mystery Cube
Get ready for Gummy Gacha! Juicy Drop Gummy Mystery Cubes are a new twist on peelable candy! Inside the clear gummy cube is a mystery gummy shape waiting to be revealed! All the super sour goodness you love from Juicy Drop in a fun satisfying peelable candy! Amos is super into their peeling era, and we are so here for it! These will be available in Original and Wild Berry with three flavours in each.

Belle’s Matcha Latte Popcorn
Belle’s Matcha Latte Popcorn is the latest creation from the beautiful minds at Belle’s! Ground yourself with the earthy taste of matcha dusted kettle corn with a light white chocolate drizzle! We had a major mishap in our Matcha Monday routine this week, so this was such an amazing find! The popcorn itself was light, airy, and crunchy– everything you could ever want popcorn to be! If you need a little more matcha in your life, there are few better ways to get it than Belle’s Matcha Latte Popcorn!

Khloud Popcorn
To keep on the kettle corn brain train, we went to the Khloud booth right after and we're so glad we did! This protein-packed popcorn from Khloe Kardashian is all over social media and we got to see what it was all about! Khloud’s popcorn definitely had a different texture to it. Not chewy per se, but definitely denser than Belle’s– like there was just more to chew through. Some of our Candologists were immediate converts, so this HAD to get mentioned in our list! And Khloud definitely doesn’t skimp on flavour– the popcorn was thickly coated in flavour dust and protein powder. If you want a light snack that’s heavy on flavour and protein, Khloud Protein Popcorn has you covered!

Retro Passionfruit
Three words: Retro. Sours. Passionfruit. One of our Candyologists literally screamed when she saw this! Retro Sours are their all-time favourite candy and passionfruit are their favourite fruit by a mile! It’s like it was made just for her! Even so, a completely unbiased assessment of Retro Sours’ newest flavour is this: it’s really really good! The perfect marriage of the almost-too-sour you love from Retro Sours and the tropical lusciousness of passion fruit in one beautiful candy. These were a very close hit for our top spot, and we will be buying A LOT of these when they finally drop!

Dobrik Hot Honey
Doughbrik’s Wavers is a whole new type of chip, and WOW is it delicious! We tried the Hot Honey flavour and it was hands down the best salty snack we had all day! It’s spicy, it’s sweet, it’s salty, and it’s sooo satisfying! The chip itself is so crisp and crunchy! It’s kinda like a lot of things, but it’s definitely its own thing. It’s like if a Pringle and a Frito had a baby? Kinda? You’ll just have to try them out when they drop, I guess!

Leonessa Dubai Chocolate Cones
Yeah, you read that right.
Now read it again, just to make sure.
Did it say “Dubai Cones” both times?
Okay, good. Well you’re taking the news better than we did because when we first saw them, we had to do a triple double take to make sure we weren’t dreaming! We could tell you about the rich Belgian chocolate, the nutty real pistachios, the flaky waffle cone, and the crispy toasty knafeh, but we don’t need to. We don’t think we need to walk you through why this made our list. You already know what it is. You already know how amazing it is. And you’re already 100% right! Hands down our favourite new candy from the whole Expo! You are 10,000% going to want to try these when they come out!
